We are a 400 year old coaching inn that has been rescued from closure and possible redevelopment by the local community. In November 2012 the doors closed once again for the fourth time in 10 years to the locals and set the ball rolling onto how the pub looks today. A committee was formed, shares bought and the doors of the pub reopened once again on March 30th 2013. Since this date they have also redeveloped an existing barn into a restaurant and enlarged the kitchen and modernised its equipment to cope with demand. Due next in early 2015 are new toilets to help continue to breath new life into this beautiful green-side village pub and also the possibility of a children’s playground.
